A 2024 Porsche Macan Turbo Electric was stolen from its owner during a robbery in Malmö. Thanks to GSFleet’s tracking technology, the vehicle was located in Hamburg, Germany.
The car disappeared just before Christmas 2024, and the factory-installed GPS tracking stopped working shortly after the theft—likely because the thieves removed it. When the owner remembered that he had an additional Spotguard tracker from GSFleet, he contacted our control center for assistance.
When tracking commenced, the car had recently left Sweden. Our control center immediately notified the German police, who quickly mobilized resources to intercept the vehicle. Within a few hours, the thieves were stopped in Hamburg, where the police took the car and the suspected perpetrators into custody.
The high-performance vehicle, with its impressive 585 horsepower, is valued at approximately 1.5 million SEK and is insured through Porsche Insurance.
