The thieves had only a few hours on the road before they were caught.
Early one morning, GSGroup’s search team receives a call from the Swedish police. A car was stolen during the night and a desperate car owner is now hunting down the thieves. The car is a Porsche Cayenne, a car worth millions of dollars.
– “We fully understand that this is a desperate situation. Together with the police, we are reviewing the information we have,” said the head of the GSGroup search team.
Through camera surveillance, the police observed the car in two different locations. GSGroup knows that the car is equipped with a tracking device. They activate the device in the car and get the first position.
– The location shows us that the car is on highway 41, south of Borås in Sweden. Shortly thereafter, GSGroup’s search team receives a message from the tracker that the car is moving and heading towards Kinna. When we receive information from the unit, we contact the police and give them information on the last position of the car.
GSGroup’s search team and the police keep in touch and shortly afterwards the police have stopped the car and arrested two people.
– “It is always a good feeling when stolen goods are recovered. We want to commend the police for being so quick on the ball. Without them, the thieves could have easily traveled much further geographically and perhaps out of the country,” says the head of GSGroup’s search team.
The police will now carry out a technical examination of the car to secure evidence.
