One of GSGroup’s customers in Germany contacted our alarm center and reported that a Takeuchi excavator, worth 410,000 SEK, had been stolen.
Our customer in Germany, a major player in the construction equipment rental industry, had rented the machine to a colleague in Belgium. It was from this company that a person had rented the machine and then failed to return it.
GSGroup’s alarm center sees that the construction machine has left Belgium and is in southern Hungary, on the border with Serbia. The machine is suspected to be hidden inside a building, and our search team in Budapest is sent to investigate. Upon arrival, it is determined that the signal is coming from inside a private warehouse surrounded by a high fence.
The Hungarian police are contacted and they consider that the evidence of the stolen machine being inside the premises is so strong that they authorize a search. Once inside the warehouse, the stolen Takeuchi TB225 is found and returned to its German owner.
