Several construction companies north of Copenhagen recently reported tools being stolen. Items such as air heaters, pumps, and battery-driven tools were stolen during the same night. Thankfully, some of the affected companies were GSFleet customers who had installed our Spotguard device.
Our Recovery Specialist Sune Andersen worked with the Danish police to recover the items.
–The Spotguard tracker gave us good insights into what had happened during the theft, and we could then track where the thieves had taken the equipment, says Sune. The data lead us to a stock-house with a lot of privately rented rooms 30 km away. Thanks to the accuracy of our Spotguard tracker, we could see exactly in which room the goods were, and with the help of the police, we could secure the stolen equipment quickly.

The total sum of the recovered equipment is estimated to be above €130,000, and includes tools, heaters, measuring equipment, transport equipment and more. But thanks to our recovery product, and the help of the Danish police, the equipment could come back home to their rightful owner’s place.
